Adsorption & Purification Principle and Process
The organic waste gas passes through the filter to eliminate the solid particles, and enters the adsorption tank from top to bottom. The organic matter is captured, adsorbed and concentrated by the activated carbon. The purified air enters the atmosphere by the main fan from the bottom of the tank body. 2.Desorption:
After the activated carbon adsorbs organic matters and becomes saturated, it will stop adsorbing organic waste gas. The activated carbon bed offers steam upward to carry out the blowoff so as to remove the organic matter from the activated carbon, which is called desorption. The activated carbon in the tank recovers its activity, which is called regeneration. 3.Hot Air Drying and Cooling:
In the activated carbon layer desorbed with the steam, about 80-90% condensed liquid of steam fills in the inner pores so as to reduce the activity of carbon layer. Therefore, the hot air is used to carry out the drying for the carbon layer. Then, close the steam valve, add the air with the normal temperature, and cool it to about 25*C, so that the activated carbon is fully recovered, in order to be repeatedly used. 4.Organic Solvent Recovery：
Utilize the feature that the organic solvent has high dew point temperature, make the mixture of steam and organic solvent enter the condenser, and carry out the cor»densation. The condensed liquid enters the separator through the steam trap valve. The separation and recovery are performed based on the characteristic that the solvent is lighter than water. 5.Condensed Water Purification：
In order to ensure that the condensed water is clean, and avoid that the condensed water of the organic solvent enters the water, the compressed air is injected into the water separated in the separator, so that the organic solvent in the water may be fully released. The air which is expelled by the compressed air and contains the organic matter will return to the waste gas system to be adsorbed again. After purification, the condensed water will be discharged to the sewer. 6.Continuous Adsorption Measure：
In the plant carrying out the continuous product, the adsorption system is required to be correspondingly and continuously operated. However, in the waste gas purification system design, select the multi-tower series, so that the adsorption and regeneration may be alternatively and continuously used. 7.Regeneration Period:
The regeneration period is subject to the harmful gas concentration in the gas discharged after purification. When the harmful gas concentration is close to the value exceeding the standard, the adsorption shall be stopped and the regeneration shall be carried out. At the initial operating stage of the system, it is required to timely determine the harmful gas concentration of the discharge outlet, in order to grasp the reasonable adsorption regeneration period.
